Borrago officinalis
Its bright blue, white or pink star-shaped flowers are a decorative element in the garden. The borage flowers are very attractive to bees in the garden.
The whole plant (leaves, stem flowers). Use raw in salad «salty» or «fruit» or cooked in soups.
The infusion of borage is used against colds. Its essential oil is very used in cosmetic care.
At Le Clos des Moulins, we use fresh flowers, picked every morning to decorate fruit salads or our scrambled eggs. Depending on the season, we also prepare a refreshing drink.

1 litre of water in a jug (35.20 oz)
1 borage stem with leaves, flowers
1 juice of 1/2 lemon
1 tablespoon sugar
Cut the stem and leaves into 2 cm pieces. (0.79 in)
Put in the jug, add the water, lemon, sugar and mix
Let cool for 2 hours.
Filter with a strainer and serve fresh
